Isolation Fault

Hello,

I have my second Omniksol 4TL installed a couple of months ago.
The first had a broken DC2 string?

Now after 900KWh i have again issues, in the morning the inverter won't start, it doesn't connect.

The LCD screen shows Isolation fault, and a red light is lit.
The panels producing and generate power.

The first day i need to switch the inverter off and after a 30 seconds wait it was switched on again, it reconnected and no problems for the remaining day.

The second day, again the LCD screen shows Isolation fault, but now it won't start up by switching the on/off button.

After swapping the string 1 with string 2, whalla it works again.....
But i have lost all confident with omnik....

IS THIS SECOND INVERTER BROKEN?

How to switch off Access Point for WiFi kit

I have two Omnik 3K inverters with WiFi kits (both s/n 602xxx).
Both have been configured to connect to my home WLAN succesfully and are logging daily.
However, they also both stay in Access Point mode. This is seriously degrading the Wifi performance in my house as the AP_602xxx WiFi networks are interfering with my home WLAN.
Therefore I want to turn off the Access Points of the WIFi kits, but I cannot find how.

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

With the s/n 601xxx WiFi kits this was not a problem as they would stop their AP mode as soon as they were connected to a (home) WLAN.

seeing someone else values on the website

It seems odd but I think I am recieving someone's value on the Omnik portal. Is this possible at all?
I have a neighborn who has the same system but I recieve different values. The values are 60% till 100% different.
Under the section: Realtime on the Omnik potal I am seeing 3 inverters. Before my vacation there were only 2. This is correct, in april the first Omnik was replaced by a new one. But now I see a thirth Inverter which ID begins with: NLDN4020. It looks like the ID is telling that it lives in the Netherlands (NL) and DN4020 stands for the Omnik 4. This is odd because I have the Omnik 5.0k TL. Huh The other two inverters ID started with NLND5020.
I tried to remove the site, but this can be done. And when I tried to add a new site, i recieve the message: "These dataloggers are already registred".
What can I do to recieve the correct values on the Omnik portal.

Today's Energy

Not sure if this is intended or not, but for me it is somewhat annoying.

When I look at the "Today's Energy" it is fine for today...
But when I browse to yesterday, everything displays normally EXCEPT the energy today. I would like to see the energy of the selected day, and not the current day...

Maybe it's just me....

But i like the grids connect to a PMB so i read a total from all the grids.

Is this possible?
And how to connect 3 grids to the PMB.

Please let me know asap, because we need to order them :-)

forgot password for wifi of the inverter

Yesterday I changed the name en password of my wifi. But ofcourse now the wifi of the inverter can no longer connect with my own wifi so I can no longer read out my data on omnik portal. So I wanted to change the settings in the omnik wifi but I figure i must have changed the standard "admin" and "admin" because they don't work anymore. But stupid enough I just can't remeber what I used for password en username. Can I reset the Omnik wifi password en username?

I have a system with 2 piece 20 TL's, total 44100wp. This inverter has a wifikit and it seems that everything is working properly. If I want to register the inverter then I get the following error message: Invalid Serial Numbers: ....... what could this be?

Hi There,

new user of solar panels and omnik 4.o tl system.
Up and running for a few days now. Today I was looking at the omnik portal system and discovered dat pv2 had no information, 0, while I have two strings attached to the omnik. one with 10 panels south, one with 8 panels south/east.

I know that only one AC output, L1, is used, but i thought dat Pv2 dc input should also be active with 2 strings attached? Is there something wrong with the string or omnik?

fAULT: UTILITY LOSS?

Hi,

after A few days of running after the new installation today a big sunny test. All day 100% sun.

But….suddenly the inverter stopped working, red light activated with the error utility lost..pfff smoking away my KW's Sad haha

I did a reset but cannot discover whats going on

I did contact the supplier but he said to sort out what to do..

lost wifi connection

Hallo,

I am new on this forum, hello everybody

My wifi on my invertor worked about 6 days.

I lost connection with my invertor.
The wifi card is not working correctly.
I tried everything.

I think, afther reading the problems on this forum, that I also need a firmware update.

Does anyone know if there is a new update for inverters with serial number starting with 603xxxxxx

Now I have firmware : M4.01.35 y1.0.04w1.0.04

Different total energy

After replacing a defected wi-fi controller in my Omnik 2.0 the total energy in the portal is reported wrong, see attached files. The total on the daily report is correct. I have no idea where the total energy end the total income is based on??

reset wifi but with admin admin cannot connect

I cannot connect to 10.10.100.254, as I do not know the username and password. I reset the wifi module, but still cannot enter.
Does anybody know if other LAN or wifi connections have to be disabled, or can I connect to AP_xxxx while other connections are up.
I did manage the wizard first time, but subsequent try's to login failed.
What do I do now? How to force reset the un/pwd?

Exact meaning of readout

I have since 2 weeks a Omnik 2k convertor with WIFI.
But I do not understand the readout.
Can somebody help me with the following:

1) Looking at the data it occures now and then that there is a Iac larger then 0, while Ipv =0 (and also the opposite: Ipv>0, Iac=0). How is that possible? Is the converter buffering? Or is the data readout of Iac at a different time than Ipv?

2) Temperature field on the website. Which temperature readout is this? Is this the temperature of the converter or is it of the PVs? Looking at the values, they seem much too high for the PV, so I'm expecting it to be of the converter itself. Is this correct?

3) The WIFI board installed in the converter draws current. Is this visible in Idc or Iac? Or is the measurement of the current done just before the WIFI extracts current? Doing some small calculations it sems that the current readout is done without taking the WIFI into account.

4) I'm now using the following equation Iac*Vac = Pac = Ipv*Vpv*n
With n=efficiency converter
Is this correct?

APP UPDATE FREQUENCE

Hello Omnik

The iPhone / Ipad APP is updating every 5 minutes I think..Sometimes the real power does not update automatic all the time. When logging out and logging in the new actual power shows up. I think that this could be much better.

Isn't is possible to make the app more accurate by increasing the update interval to 1 minute / seconds / or make a setting so the user may choose from) and the power every 30 seconds or so and only updating when having the application active (because of battery life?) Sometime when there is a high peak you do not see it in the result cause of the 5 minute delay. I think that 5 minutes is way to long.

I have a dr wattson which is updating every 3 seconds…that is real live and very accurate.

Just a comment, no life threatening thing haha.



I think you make a lot of people happy when upgrading your apps.

Monitoring website

I had a pv-system installed on Feb. 13th., 2013.
When I look at the figures on the monitoring website it states the following figures:
Yearly energy 1,79 MHh
Total energy 1,91 MWh
Since the system has been installed this year, how can there then be a difference between these two figures?
